What is GivingTuesday? And why it matters so much.

In 2020, I facilitated 99 debriefing sessions until alone was no longer enough.

In 2021, during Debriefing the Front Lines GivingTuesday Campaign, our commUNITY raised enough funds to build a team of Debriefing Nurses. Enter Kacie and Michelle.

This team - made possible by YOU - facilitated 33% more debriefings in 2023, supporting 398 nurses in need.

61% of these 398 sessions were scholarship based sessions for those on medical leave or experiencing financial hardship. We are proud to share, we have NEVER declined a scholarship request.

Nurses felt safe within the space created. They kept coming back and DTFL kept going!

These numbers are proof of your impact. We don't have all the answers, however we are proud to be part of the solution.

With all this being said, there's a good chance you've heard of it but you may be wondering, "What is GivingTuesday?"

GivingTuesday started with the question: Could a day be created that celebrates giving back, rather than consuming? Could a ritual be created leveraging the power of digital hyperconnectivity and collaboration to make generosity go viral?

Born in 2012, GivingTuesday is a radical generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform communities around the world, inspiring millions to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

GivingTuesday strategically falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in response to the overwhelming consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Thereโ€™s a fundamental truth that gives us hope โ€“ that together we can do extraordinary things.

Join our team of 15 peer-to-peer fundraisers from across all nursing specilaities as we amplify the collective message that alone is no longer enough.

๐ŸŒŽ Together in commUNITY our peer-to-peer campaign team is working to raise $15,00 to provide 300 scholarship sessions to nurses.

๐ŸคŽ Every $50 raised provides one scholarship-based session to a nurse in need of psychological first aid.

๐Ÿช Your donation helps to heal a nurse, one session at a time.
